Bio

Given that her parents met in a library, it is no surprise that Catherine Rossi owned a library card at age 4. She has been reading and writing ever since.
Catherine graduated from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!), then dove headlong into the tech field where she wrangled words and people as frequently as code and data. Over her lengthy career, she published papers at conferences and authored technical documents.

A member of the North Carolina Writers’ Network, she writes fiction and creative non-fiction, essays and novels. When she isn’t writing you’ll find her volunteering in the community, performing with an oom-pah polka band, and following her beloved sports teams. She frequently writes about strong, single women, using decades of bad dates as inspiration.
Her work has been published in Months to Years (Spring 2026 issue), The Hooghly Review (Weekly feature Nov 30, 2025), The Hooghly Review (Apr. 2025 issue, page 67), Raw Lit (Issue 4, Winter 2023-2024), and Midstory Magazine (Nov. 2023).
